KENNELS

We are extremely pleased with our 4-Star rating (the highest for new applications). Since taking over the kennels in September 2019 we have worked hard with improvements to the kennel blocks. Block 1 now has a dropped wood ceiling with 400mm of insulation added. All external walls are insulated and we now have now heating system in place. 9 new radiators heat the block from a gas fitted combi-boiler, providing overnight warmth for all kennels.

The 'quadrangle' block has been updated during 2023 and now all kennels have insulated and cladded walls and door. A dropped ceiling with 600mm on insulation. A new central heating system was installed with each kennel having it's own radiator for cosy nights.

Each kennel is large enough for up to 2 medium sized dogs (obviously from same household) and we have 3 large family sized kennels which are much larger, should you need extra space. Each kennel has a separate sleeping are with access to an outdoor run, overlooking the gardens. The internal doors are closed overnight so a secure, warm sleeping area is available.

Our dogs receive a daily walk of between 30 and 90 minutes around the local Durham countryside.

They also get access to our two secure play areas where they can run around and play with the many toys on site.

We try to stick as close as possible to your dogs regular eating habits so will feed once or twice a day and we carry a wide variety of premium dog food, or you are welcome to bring your own.

The kennels are open 7 days a week, all year round (Closed only Xmas Day and New Years day), with drop off and collections between 9am and 11.30am or 4pm to 6pm (Closed Sat pm). If unable to make these times outside hours are possible by appointment.

Bed Area

Example of a sleeping area. Bed area has a large crate (door always open), fully bedded up with duvets. A dull-emitter heater or adjustable height hangs overhead. Access all day to outside area with views of the grounds and what's happening outside.

Further example of slightly different sleeping option. This one has a large wooden kennel, again bedded up with duvets. The lid lifts off so heater can warm your pet during the colder days and nights.

Have more than one dog, then we have large kennels that can take a number of dogs from same household. As you can see they can snuggle up together and enjoy each others company while you are away.
